With the release of the new Eldar codex it is time to revive the army I love playing for so many years.
So...this happened...

Retribution of Scyrah - Moros WIP and Blood Bowl Report
Thus far my episodes into Bloodbowl have been how do you say ... less than fruitful. I am currently 1 Win and 3 Losses with the Athel Loren Crimson Tide but hey... I'm new so it's ok.
So let's examine first my opinions on Blood Bowl.
It took me a while to realize that causing casualties is a pretty important part of the game, especially in league play. I also had to wrap my mind around the concept of fouling. Fouling isn't cheating, it's a mechanic in the game. Blood Bowl is a brutal and lethal game and I was not playing it as such. I was focused on running plays and scoring touchdowns - like you would in a normal Football game. Now that I have a better understanding of what is expected, I am able to make better decisions moving forward.
Achievements:
Thus far - I have learned how to set up the pass pretty well and I'm getting better at dumping receivers into the backfield.
Failures:
I am still struggling with defense. I have not yet learned how to properly box players and break cages. I am also allowing myself to take way too many unnecessary hits during a game that should be avoided. Once I have figured out how to minimize my dice rolling and maximize my opponents, I feel I'll be much better.
Annoyances:
So I ordered a team from Black Scorpion Miniatures. It's the Wood Elf team for lack of a better description. As I was painting these models I noticed that there were way too many imperfections and miscasts on this team. The faces are too thin and pinched which give them a gaunt and squished appearance. The bodies have far too many pits, uneven surfaces and rough casts to make painting them remotely enjoyable.
I have ordered more metal models from various providers and we'll see how things turn out.
Now Moros...
As I wait for Fantasy to come out with a new edition and for my Eldar Farseer edition to arrive, I will assemble my brand new Moros light myrmidon from Warmachine!
As you can see it comes in both metal and resin pieces. None too bad and with the exception of a slight casting issue that was easily fixed with a hobby knife, the model was very well done.
The model despite it's numerous pieces, was easy to assemble and pin. I am pleased that this metal model was much better to assemble than the last few from Privateer Press.
I'll be priming and painting up many of the Retribution as I paint both my Blood Bowl and my Eldar army in the next few months.
Updates will come!

Final Preparations for the Black Sheep Brawl IV and Display Board Fail
Hey everyone,
So Black Sheep Brawl is tomorrow and as a true wargamer I'm up late the night before putting the finishing touches on my army.
I started this week by making movement trays that were ...too big (sigh).
Here are the WIP's:
Once they were flocked I moved on to the display board:
Before:
After:
So after that FAIL, we go to old faithful!
Now to decide which staging to use?
1.
2.
3.
So with this decision pending, I will go to bed!
Tomorrow we engage in THE BLACK SHEEP BRAWL IV!
I will be drinking from my Black Sheep Brawl I mug all day.
Let's see if I can't get a matching 2015 one!

Black Sheep Brawl IV List
It's t-minus 2 weeks until the 4th annual Black Sheep Brawl and I can't wait. I'll be bringing Wood Elves once again and if we go by Swedish Comp score its a measly 16!
Going to focus on eliminating specific units and characters per turn and take advantage of the close combat options that my army provides. We'll see how the anti-meta spars off against the current meta.

Glade Riders and Glade Guard WIP
As the Black Sheep Brawl draws closer, I have been working on assembling a few additional units to paint up and diversify my existing army.
I am hopeful that I will have time to get these done, and I am even more hopeful that I will be able to participate in the Black Sheep Brawl as I may have a conflict.
If not I will attempt to make more posts as we draw near. Real life is keeping me very busy!

So many games, so little time.
Hey folks,
I've been terrible about blogging these past few months. Mainly because I haven't made any real attempts to start any projects. I've made half-assed attempts to build a unit here, paint a unit there, but nothing really substantial as far as a project. Well that will be changing soon as I have decided to re-engage my hobby engine and start and finish the following projects:
1. 10 Glade Guard - paint/base (5 for one unit, 5 for another)
2. 8 Glade Riders - assemble/paint/base
3. Glade Lord on elven steed - assemble/paint/base
4. 50 pts of Retribution of Scyrah - paint
5. 50 pts of Circle Orboros - paint
6. Conceptualize a 2,000 point Eldar or Eldar/Dark Eldar list
7. Buy/build/paint/base no.6
8. Build new movement trays and display board
So with that said we'll have some pics up soon of WIP.
Nothing spectacular but soon!
